Keeping Children Safe in the Community
Using an interactive case study, this workshop will introduce the contextual approach to safeguarding which focuses on the use of people, space and partnerships to keep children safe from harm and abuse in organizational and community settings.

Presented by Luke Curran, Child Safe (Safeguarding) Advisor, RMIT Vietnam
Luke has been involved in developing and leading safeguarding in a range of voluntary and educational organisations since his initial child protection training in 1989.  Immediately before joining RMIT, he was the Head of Welfare and Guidance at BVIS HCMC for 7 years and the Regional Safeguarding Lead for the 14 Nord Anglia Schools in Southeast Asia.
